A cricket technique review, delivered over WhatsApp. You send a video of yourself batting or bowling; you receive a written review in return. Its coaching framework is built from the cricket biomechanics and coaching literature — a body of research that was reviewed source by source, with each claim assessed for how well the underlying evidence actually supports it. A considerable number were found wanting and are not relied upon. What remains is what the review is willing to tell you.

It does not replace one, and is not intended to. A coach present at the ground perceives things no video can capture. But video catches what the eye misses in real time, it can be reviewed repeatedly, and it leaves you a written record to return to. Above all, this review is candid about the limits of what your particular camera angle can establish — which is more than most coaching applications will tell you.

One video, one review. Taxes as applicable.

It uses computer vision — pose detection, which reads your body position from the video frame by frame — and applies a fixed coaching framework to what it finds. No generative AI is involved and no language model. The result is deterministic: the same video produces the same review on every occasion.

Not at present. SIGHTER currently reviews adult players only, aged eighteen and over. We are working through the additional safeguards required for handling junior players' data, and intend to extend the service to younger players once those are properly in place.

Your video and personal details are kept on servers in India and are scrambled so that no one else can read them, both while stored and while being sent. We collect only what is needed to review your video and return your report. The full details are set out in our privacy notice.

If we cannot obtain a clear enough reading from your footage, we will tell you precisely why and ask you to record again — using your existing paid submission, not a fresh charge. Should a second attempt also prove unreadable, your case is escalated for manual examination. If we still cannot resolve it, you receive a full refund.
